"You'll read about me someday." I was definitely dreaming then. With no evidence of that ever being possible, I clung to that preposterous vision and with the force of those dreams willed it and made it happen. Not because I needed to be famous, but because I needed a world that made me feel uninvited to be wrong, so I imagined myself free, I imagined myself loved, I imagined myself... as somebody." Art Imitates Life
I had a little bit of writer's block today. When it happens, I do whatever it takes to get my mind going. Today, I decided to cut the lawn and clear my head. One of the neighbors came by and we started talking and out of that conversation, the rest of my writing flowed. It's really important to keep your mind focused on the writing, even if you move on to a different task to help you think. Be inspired.

It is a blessing and a gift that you have Antwone you have inspired me. Continue to do what you do, keeping God first.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate this... I have been unable to complete a writing project for many months now...I've allowed myself to be distracted long enough. Time to get back focused.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, time away gives you a chance to think, but don't spend too much time away.
DeleteWhatever happened to Keith and Dewight...what are they doing now?
ReplyDeleteI spoke with Keith this morning. He sent me a photo text of him standing with his daughter just after she graduated from college last week with two BA degrees. I could not stop smiling and I could hear his grin through the phone. Dwight is alive and well and thriving in Cleveland.
DeleteI had seen bits and pieces of your movie however, I wanted to say how one man/one person can overcome life difficulties by just making the right choices/decisions.... God Bless
